Spencer McGowan was inducted into the Hickman High School National Honor Society Class of 2008 this past month! The National Honor Society was founded by the National Association of Secondary School Principals in 1921 to recognize students who are superir in schlarship, service, leadership, and character.  Juniors with a 3.25 GPA or higher are invited to apply for National honor Society.  Aplicants are evaluated in the areas of leadership and service by a faculty council made up of Mr. John Deken, Ms. Christi Hopper, Ms. Melissa Hundley, Ms. Pam Massey and Ms. Diana Rahm.  Applicants are evaluated in the area of scholarship according to class rank and in the area of character by faculty ratings.  Sponsors for the organization are Mr. Tony Reda and Ms. Jessica Lucas.
